This is a SERIES 2 Lancia Monte Carlo.
Purchased in 2000. Bodywork restored by previous owner. Total engine rebuild in 2006 to include: new valves, new high compression pistons, new seals and gaskets, sand-blasted cylinder head, new timing belt, new coolant hoses.
Modifications: twin high output headlights, Tarox disc breaks all round, 5-spoke Compomotive alloy wheels, upgraded suspension, CSC exhaust, twin DHLA Dellorto carburetors. Electric fuel pump.
Paint has some cracks on rear panels (close-ups in images). Approx £1000 to repair. This stunning car never fails to draw attention, so be prepared for conversations from strangers, wherever its parked! I have spent many thousands of pounds since purchase on bodywork and mechanics. All receipts kept. Back in 2009, while working on a famous BBC TV car show, I was approached by its main presenter and asked how much I wanted for it. At that time it was not for sale. It has an agreed insurance value certificate of £29, 000 with a specialist insurer.
