I’m parting ways with my cherished Renault 5 Monaco – a genuine and well-cared-for example of this elegant French classic. With just around 64, 000 miles, this car is in remarkable condition considering its age and wears its years with pride.
Finished in a tasteful colour combination and featuring Connolly leather trim, this Monaco offers a smooth, relaxed drive with automatic transmission and power steering, making it a real joy—especially on twisty B-roads where it feels surprisingly agile and composed. The electric glass sunroof brings in light and air, adding to the wonderfully nostalgic driving experience. I typically drive it on sunny weekends through the countryside – it’s like stepping back in time.
I’ve owned the car for two years (I’m the 5th owner), keeping it under a dry shed and always protected with a Classic Additions breathable outdoor cover (included). It has just passed its MOT – valid until April 2026 – and during my ownership, it has received plenty of care:
