My MGA 1600 Coupe is in a very solid and sound condition throughout and has had considerable expenditure and upgrades.
Starts runs and drives very well indeed.
Dintrol Rustproofed.
Original engine from new converted to unleaded fuel. Sounds nice and smooth after recent set up and tuning.
Some upgrades to original spec include :-
Hi-Gear 5speed gearbox to keep up with modern day traffic.
E-Z Steer Electronic Power steering which is fully adustable for effort by control on dashboard and is a quite brilliant and a superb upgrade!
Upgraded braking system with BCC 4 pot front calipers and discs coupled with servo assistance.
123 Electronic ignition distributor.
Hi-torque Starter motor.
Converted to negative earth electrics with recent new Alternator.
4 point seat belt harness fitted .
An inspection will show that she has had a lot of extensive and expensive work done in recent years to keep the car in a very useable roadworthy condition. Some recent mechanical replacements include:-
Re-cored radiator and new Waterpump.
Full all round suspension and bushes overhaul with telescopic rear shock absorbers.
Maniflow Stainless steel exhaust system.
The interior was also upgraded in 2018 with brand new 'de-luxe' spec seats.
This is a very immediately useable car which polishes up very nicely with the chromework in good condition.
Some future improvements that could be considered would be to replace the screen rubber seals at some point and perhaps eliminate some slight paintwork blemishes but these are not needed immediately and do not detract from the cars today immediate 'drive now' nice condition.
There is a very slight delamination in the top corner of the passenger side of the windscreen but it is the original Triplex windscreen screen so personally I would not replace it.
I have tried to describe the car as honestly as I can but the best thing is to come and view. An original UK RHD car. The V5 reg document shows 5 previous owners with all numbers matching on the car.
This car is now 65years old and is in very sound structual and mechanical condition having had very extensive work carried to it out over the years. It is a very sound and useable car.
