Description
1967 Triumph Vitesse 2L Saloon, in Valencia Blue. It is a factory saloon, with factory sunroof and overdrive - DL/ RS/ O numbered and has had 6 previous owners.
This is a great car that needs some finishing/ fettling jobs to make a very usable classic. I was going to have it as my daily and have improved it with this in mind but I have decided to let it go and put the funds toward another of my Triumphs.
It has had an 7/ 10 re paint and is solid throughout, with some repairs as expected.
Engine runs well although the carburetors would benefit a rebuild/ overhaul. Gearbox is a little noisy but feels good and changes nicely and the overdrive kicks in and out really well, differential is nice and quiet.
Rear brake fittings look to be new, although fitted sometime ago, fronts are also good.
Interior is good with just a few marks... new moulded Newton carpet set.
Please be aware that it will come with the original 4. 5j wheels not the wider 5. 5j wheels currently fitted.... alternatively it could come with a set of 5. 5j Cosmic alloys for a little extra.
Unfortunately no historic paperwork, just a V5C.
It needs... carburetors overhauling, an exhaust (one is fitted but it's not quite right), an some fettling and finishing.
Potential to be a usable, presentable classic with a little work/ expenditure.
