MG Midget, 1972, Mk IV, with the 1275cc engine. Round Wheel Arch (RWA) chrome bumper, the one to have.
Completely rebuilt original matching numbers engine, gearbox and clutch done in 2023, including unleaded head conversion.
While the engine was out the car was given a top quality bare metal respray in Tahiti blue. Also new brake discs, callipers, pads and rear brake shoes. The upholstery has all been renewed, including new tonneau cover and hood cover. The hood does not leak, has no rips in the fabric or windows.
It has electronic ignition, a sports steering wheel, twin USB ports under the dash and a new set of tyres. Many dated receipts are in the history file.
Hardly used since the restoration, as you can see from the condition in the photos.
The original front bumper and steering wheel, also brand new bullet wing mirrors included if required. Seven books and manuals about Midgets and Sprites included, full of all the information required.
A charming classic British sports car, great fun and surprisingly nippy with the 1275cc twin carb engine.
I have now just managed to buy my dream classic which I have been after for years, so regrettably no garage space for my MG Midget.
