Description
Up for sale is my much-loved old Land Rover. Finished in that unmistakable pastel green. I’ve been using it while my Range Rover was in the garage, and if I’m honest, this old girl’s been more dependable than the fancy modern stuff. Starts first time, drives as it should.
It’s recently had a decent bit of work, so mechanically it’s spot on:
New brakes
Parabolic springs (rides better than you'd think)
New hub seals
Heavy-duty steering arms
Chassis is solid, engine’s willing for 55 years old, and it still turns heads — mostly from folk wondering how something this old is still going so strong. The body’s got the usual age related marks, and stories to tell, but that’s part of the charm. It’s not pretending to be anything it’s not — just a proper old Land Rover doing what it does best.
Would suit someone needing a dependable workhorse, a bit of off-road fun, or a solid base for a tidy up if you’re that way inclined.
Reluctant sale, and I mean it. If it were up to me, I’d keep it. But the wife has decided we’re going on a “nice family caravanning holiday” — so apparently I now need to buy a caravan instead.
No timewasters, tyre kickers, or dreamers. It’s not concours, it’s a Land Rover.
