I bought off a friend and mx5 enthusiast who had the underside completely restored. I have photos on a USB stick of the work before t was undersealed and all panels wax injected with Dinitrol by Rustbusters in Spalding.
Original Enkei wheels have been re powder coated and are mint.
Tyres all in good condition.
You will note that the hood is black rather than tan. This is because the original tan seats were not in a good condition so a pair of Conley leather ( top quality and rare and xpensive)seats from a Jasper Conrad mx5 were fitted and a new mohair black roof was fitted to complement this.
However I have since sourced a pair of original seats in good used condition which will go with the car.
I had a respray by Poutney motors in Birmingham 3 years ago and paintwork polishes up beautifully.
The only thing that does not work is the electric aerial which just needs the plastic toothed runner inside changing.
Oil n filter done last year but only done about 300 miles since then.
Electric windows, power steering and heated rear glass screen.
Never used on wet roads in m ownership.
Just went straight through mot with no advisories.
In summary, a beautiful and rare sports terrace with a fantastic free reving and eager engine which a real hoot to drive.
Not many of these left on the road and certainly in this condition.
12 months MOT. Flew through with no advisories.
