Description
A fabulous multiple award-winning MGA. Originally a USA export car, it returned to the UK and underwent a fully documented nut & bolt restoration and RHD conversion. Engine & gearbox rebuilt by Bob West MGA specialists. 11k miles covered since. This previously concours winning car has an enormous history file complete with many photos, heritage certificate, receipts and all MOT certificates & tax discs. It has received exceptional care including a recorded 48 point service every winter whilst dry stored in a heated garage.
Finished in the rarely seen Woodland Green, an MGA special order colour in 1959, the car has only 1 previous owner since 1995 and comes complete with a collection of concours trophies, spares, all original tools / jack / crank handle, fitted garage cover, side windows and tonneau cover. Ready for a summer's use.
A few important areas have been sympathetically upgraded to maximise reliability / safety e. g. water pump, fuel pump, coil, points, hoses, hose clips, spin-on oil filter and seat belts. All original parts have been retained to return the car to fully original 1959 spec if the next owner prefers.
This car is the perfect blend of one in exceptional restored condition, with a rare colour scheme and outstanding history file, whilst being reliable and ready to drive and enjoy. We have thoroughly enjoyed the car for many years. Recent independent insurance valuation of £33kI bought this car to enjoy it. We have taken it to shows where it attracts plenty of attention, but also enjoyed touring holidays and short drives around Hampshire village pubs.
I am a perfectionist. This car attracted me for it's condition and has been kept and maintained to that highest standard by myself and the one previous owner. It is a joy to drive, maintain and just to potter around cleaning it.
