1933 Austin 10 4 restored in the last 12 years by my father. colour Blue and black
It had a body off chassis restoration with no expense spared at the time.
I believe the engine was overhauled too..... fires up first time.
Interior was completely renewed, all new leather and carpets.
Its a beautiful little car which would benefit going to an enthusiast.
Needs a very small amount of fettling with the electrics (mainly lighting) as he was just in the middle of fitting a brand new fuse box when he passed....
An auto electrician friend has sorted the wiring so it starts and lights work etc but still needs a bit of work....
other than that 'Phyllis-Mary' is a wonderful piece of history...
I'm very limited with history and details on the re-build as i just wasn't around that much.
There is a photo album which my father kept in the car when he took it to shows which does show the re-build,
I will add some pictures of the engine when i go to where its stored again..
Just had a new battery as it had been stood for a year.
Please do ask me to sell the plate it stays with the car. My father has had this car since him and my mum first met back in 1962.... They found it in a ditch on a farm near North Thoresby Lincolnshire.
They persuaded the farmer to let them have it if they could get it out, which they did.
It then was half heartedly restored (mainly primer) and left at the bottom of our garden....... then used as a source of entertainment for the ensuing 3 children they had.
Eventually when we grew up my father decided to start again doing a full chassis down restoration.
