Description
MGB GT in excellent condition - this car will not need a welding torch anywhere near it for many years. Massive amount of work has gone into producing this car incl (though not limited to):
- sebring based body modifications but steel fabricated spats which are far more subtle than the bulging rear wings of the original sebring conversion.
- brand new re-fab sunroof
- installation of a VX Red Top engine with brand new NODIZ ecu and twin Weber 45DCOEs which have been balanced and on a rolling road is delivering a very healthy 150 bhp (this engine is a belter and alone is worth thousands)
- this has been matched up with a Gertag 5 speed gearbox
- practically everything underneath the car has been renewed or replaced - from brand new custom SPAX coilovers at the rear with stabilising roads to the front bilsteins with new upgraded (dual pedal box) brakes
- it's just had a 4 wheel alignment undertaken to make sure everything rides as it should
- stainless fuel tank
- brand new stainless back box and exhaust tip
- lovely original replacement leather interior from a donor MGB which is spotless, brand new door cards , locks / ignition, seat-belts etc
- electronic GPS speedo and rev - counter
So what you have now is a fast upgraded MGB GT that is well sorted and has a recent MoT certificate . It's not perfect and not for anoraks - the Webbers give it a big throaty noise and an authentic note to the era whilst also giving it a big shove. As with anything like this there are potential improvement areas but I've taken it as far as I wanted to. It's fun to drive and looks superb. Please do not waste my time - I do not want dreamers, tyre kickers , scammer etc . It's a pretty unique vehicle the kind you will not find anywhere else - it works as a fast road / track car . I'm happy to consider deals for a VW Beetle (aircooled) / Fiat Coupe 20v Turbo but not much else. Happy to consider sensible offers near the asking price - give me a ring where it suits. Please don't ask 'if it's still available' - if it's on here then clearly it is still available - and therefore you don't need to ask, do you!I bought this as an unfinished project - in fact it was nowhere near the finish line and it has taken hours of painstaking work and expenditure to get it to this point. It will though now put a smile on your face - the new stainless box at the rear has transformed the car to an exciting old fashioned sports car with attitude.
