Description
Stunning condition 996 Carrera 4 Cabriolet with hard top (but please read this detail completely )
I bought this a couple of years ago from a well know Porsche Specialist in South Wales who had been a friend of mine for 25 years.
Our deal was simple I bought the car without the engine and gearbox as he needed them to keep his car on the road whilst his engine was being rebuilt, given we where great friends it wasn't a problem so I went and collected the car on a trailer and put it into storage hoping the engine and gearbox would be back in 12 months time and I could start using the car.
Sadly 2 years later I cannot even get hold of my friend who wont respond to any form of communication (I have even written letters to him!)
So very sad he was such a great mate but the car is completely useless to me and I don't have the skills or will to even try and find an engine and gearbox and get the car on the road, so its time to sell.
Its a lovely car, belonged to a wealthy gent in the past who had a Porsche main dealer down south do a complete re-trim and colour change and the level of detail and quality of the work is incredible.
It's now finished in a Porsche Pearlescent White a special order colour with Boxster Red Leather interior and a matching red soft top. It also has a hardtop that is finished in the same pearlescent white though has a black wrap down the centre of the roof, see pictures.
Apparently the GT Aero Kit is rather a rare addition and the front bumper worth some money but I don't want to break the car it just needs to go as it is to someone who hopefully can get it back on the road and enjoy it.
I have just cleaned the car for the first time since ownership and polished it, somewhat difficult as had to do in the garage but it hardly has a mark on it, I would say 10 chips over the whole car and it really is in incredible condition and looks amazing.
Anymore information please just ask and will happy to do a walk round on FaceTime if required.
Car comes with a soft red cover, hardtop stand and wall bracket manuals and a folder full of service history as well as the original bill of sale, its wasn't cheap when it was new at nearly £80, 000.
Before buying the car I did get the chance to do 20 or so miles in it and it drove really well, it's such a shame my mate didn't come through with the promise.
Ideally I would like the number plate back as I cannot get it off the car as it has no MOT so hopefully we could agree that , but understand if thats not possible.
