We are thrilled to offer this beautiful 1951 Jaguar XK120 Alloy Lightweight for sale.
This stunningly stylish example finished in Black with antique tan leather interior has been in a private collection for over 30 years and is now now offered up for sale for the first time. Purchased originally as a single seat racing lightweight alloy body, it was converted to the 2 seater and been enjoyed in that style ever since.
Mechanically upgraded with a Tremek T5 gearbox which has proven to be much smoother than it's original gearbox, the previous owner still has the original 4 speed gearbox in a box in one of his properties should another owner wish to replace it. In addition, this engine has been turned to a 3. 8 from the regular 3. 4. The car also enjoys full disc brakes and rear shock absorber conversion.
Maintained to a very high standard, host serviced and only used sparingly these days when the sun comes out, or the owner wanted to feel the wind rush through his hair again!
The owner didn't want the race style look and single seat styling - he wanted the lightweight alloy body paired with twin seats, a gentlemen's gearbox yet still retaining it's period charm.
