Description
It has a year’s MOT which it sailed through without any advisories. Just been serviced.
4 new quality Falken tyres.
It is a 160 VVC engine which is a bit better and slightly more power than the others.
In the 1st year of ownership, but not many miles ago, a new quality head gasket was fitted, along with new hoses, water pump, thermostat, header tank cap and both cam belts.
It has been regularly service, based on time rather than milage because of the low annual milage. My husband wanted to ensure it was 100% reliable so as not to let me down.
Recently a new gearbox reversing light switch was fitted as the old one was intermittent and was affecting the reversing camera.
The boot lid is not as shiny as it used to be, I’m told it’s the lacquer and if I was keeping it I would get it done so it is a shiny as the rest of the car. Due to an injury I can no longer drive a manual gearbox, so my cherished MG must go after 7 years of great ownership.
I fell in love with the colour, which I understand is very rare, pearlescent turquoise and changes colour as you look at it from different angles. I have never seen another MG in this colour. In this colour there is no chrome and even the exhaust tips are black. I loved driving it and with the new tyre it was even better especially round corners. The after-market radio has a reversing camera, I’m not very big so it helps me a lot when reversing, blue tooth phone connectivity and GPS navigation. I still have the multi-CD box and radio that came with the car and will be included, so it could be returned to the original spec. This car is a higher spec than the standard with having bigger wheels, including the spare because of the bigger uprated brakes. We also fitted a glass heated rear screen, no more yellowing or cracked plastic screen to worry about and also fitted a windbreak.
