Description

Hello and thank you for looking

Up for sale is this beautifully presented
1962 morris minor van 27 RYD finished in bright red paint which suits the van perfectly.

Having been totally overhauled back in 1995 at Charles wares it benefits from a few upgrades which makes the drive very pleasant.

It has a brake servo and alternator along with electronic ignition which gives you the feel of a modern vehicle upgrades but still retaining the morris minor charm.

I’m not going to pretend this little van is cosmetically perfect as it does have a few marks here and there but overall it’s absolutely beautiful.

Starts every time on the button with no smoke or spluttering, It will happily run all day and sit in traffic without overheating, it stops great due to brake upgrades which are a must.

Since 1995 she’s only covered 22000 miles and this will rise as I’m currently using the van most days while the weather is nice.

As it’s 63 years old please be advised it does need a couple of small things and they are.

1. Small 2. 5 inch crack in the windscreen this is out of main view and according to MOT history from several years ago it’s been there a few years.
2. Interior light doesn’t work
3. Horn works intermittently
4. Gutters need some work but in my opinion they’re not bad at all but will need some attention to get the van to the next level if the new owner requires.

She recently had new tyres all round and comes with a couple of spare rims with good tyres, one of which is brand new. The van also comes with a large box full of bits.

She has a 1098 engine which runs like a dream and pulls very well through every gear with no problems whatsoever.

I have the original logbook from 1962 which gives a detailed description of its previous life before it was left to rot and then overhauled by the long standing owners son at Charles wares.

It comes with a large pack of paperwork and history, just to mention it was first registered new in October 1962 in Taunton Somerset and after 4 years (1967) it spent all of its life in the southsea area before making its was over to the Isle of Wight recently.

Please feel free to call me and come and see the van. It’s a real head turner.

It’s priced on the high side as I dont really want or need to sell it but it would give me the space I require for a new classic I’d like to own in time. If it sells then great but if not I will happily keep her.

I’m open to sensible offers so don’t hesitate to call me.

Thank you for looking once again.
