1979 MGB Roadster – Banana Yellow.
Selling my late father's much-loved MGB Roadster, presented in a delightful banana yellow. This is a fantastic classic car that's in excellent condition, requiring just a few minor touches to be absolutely pristine.
With an incredibly low mileage of only 37, 000 miles – quite rare for a car of this age. It’s been diligently kept garaged for many years, and I’ve personally only driven it a few thousand miles in the last decade.
The car was tuned up last year and runs well, starting every time and offering a truly great driving experience.
While it’s in superb shape, there are a couple of small jobs that could be done. I have replacement parts for these and they’re generally simple fixes:
- The bonnet pull handle is broken (opens with a spanner currently), but a replacement is included.
- A dash knob needs replacing – an easy fix.
- The driver's side door handle has a popped spring. I have a replacement, and it should be a quick 10-minute job to fit.
- The radio doesn't work, but pretty easy to swap a new one in.
In 2009, my father invested over £10, 000 in extensive renovation work, with photographic evidence available. Since then, the car has seen very little use.
