Offered for sale is my 1985 Ford Capri 2. 8 injection Special, with a genuine 74348 miles from new! It has been in storage since the 1st of September 1992, yes you read that right 1992! I have the DVLA print out to proof this (see photos) I have now recomissioned the car at a cost of around £2000. 00 having had new Brake master cylinder, fuel accumulator valve, exhaust systems, Two tyres, brake fluid, brakes along with themo time switch, warm up regulator and fuel pump. It is now back on the road and is now MOT'd until 12th June 2026. It will be Tax and MOT exempt next year!
This is a very genuine Capri with genuine Ford wings etc, It was resprayed in 1990 before it was taken off the road, due to this there is some paint micro blistering on the driver's front wings, door and stuttle panel, there are also signs of wear and scratches in a few areas but the paintwork is very bright and shiny and the car is as solid as a rock and believe it's never been welded underneath! Under the bonnet is pretty much original. Interior is in very good condition, and again is original with some wear to driver's seat, Top of dashboard is crack free but there are some indentations on the passenger side near the air vent! Original radio/ cass player, original LSD rear axle!
I have gone as far as I want to go with it and it drives very well to say it's not been on the road for 33 years! If you are looking for a 28 that you can use, improve and enjoy then this Capri could be for you. It is an honest straight genuine injection special not full of filler like many are!
