Description
For sale my 1950 Land Rover Tickford in Green, Left Hand Drive with the factory fitted matching numbers 1600cc Engine which is running. I have fitted a New Starter Motor and carburretor and it will drive forward and backwards. Will a reqiure a full restoration to get it back on the road again.
The Tickford was enjoyed by King George VI and the late Queen equally. It was built on an 80in wheelbase, and its 1. 6-litre engine was matched with a Rover P3-sourced four-speed gearbox and an unusual four-wheel-drive system. In 1949, Land-Rover launched a station wagon body option, created by Tickford, a coachbuilder that was known for its work with Rolls-Royce and Lagonda. Tickford started life trading under the name Salmons & Sons in 1830, and evolved into building bodies for cars as early as 1898.
It comes with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust Certifiied and a copy of Factory Record. Only 20 of these were ever made, this Tickford was one of a batch supplied and exported new by UNICEF in Poland. VIN number can be found on the bulkhead and engine mount on chassis.
This is a very rare car and due to this nature we welcome all veiwings from serious bidders only. please contact me with any questions and i will get back to you right away.
