We're selling our 1958 Series 2 "KIWI".
We bought the car a little over two years ago after it was fully restored by a Land Rover specialist as a private car for themselves. I have the benefit of driving lots of series Land Rovers and this really is a well rebuilt car. Everything feels tight and as it should. I drive Kiwi regularly and even drove down to Cornwall trouble free last month.
Kiwi runs a strong 2. 25 L petrol engine with a tight 4 speed box.
The body work is all straight, painted in period correct Pastel green.
The chassis is the original, perfectly restored and painted black- no dodgy welds to see here.
The cab, rear bed and tail gate have teak wooden floors from built motor works. The car also has a beautiful hand turned 917 style gear knob.
The interior is all freshly trimmed to the original specification in "elephant hide" material. Supplies by Exmoor trim. Wheels and tyres were supplied by 4x4 tyres 4k miles back, these are the same sped cool & vintage use on their famous Portuguese builds.
The car has a small number of professionaly hand pinstriped/ painted designs custom to the car. Im sure these could be removed if needed.
