Escort Xr3 a very rare car also a very rare colour being black as in 1980 they were red or silver I believe they never produced a black Xr3 it had to be ordered it’s a non sunroof with the single jet washer on the bonnet the Xr3 came out in November 1980 this car was registered in December 1980 so that’s only four weeks after it was produced on the uk roads it is the earliest Xr3 there is a possibility that this is the only 1980 December Xr3 in black from that period I don’t think you will see another not now from that period of time paint work is ok but I think should have a repaint really but looks nice tho engine bay is ok still having the original front wings with the stamps in them dashboard is fine with no cracking interior is nice too with no rips in any of the seats had the original service book and original number plates from where it was sold in 1980 with service history car is ready to drive as it’s mot and tax exempt now plus only has 7 previous owners from new think this the earliest one there is in black non sunroof 1980 great car for a collector
