Description
I have no idea what this is worth, so offers invited.
Possibly the lowest mileage Gsx250ET in the universe.
616 miles on clock believed genuine. Good luck getting your free first service from your local Suzuki stealer.
One previous owner.
I bought from a dealer who got the bike from a deceased estate auction at Bonhams. At that point they believed it was never registered for the road (395 miles on clock) but a third investigation with DVLA finally found somebody competent and they were able to advise original rev and issue V5.
Tax and MOT exempt of course. Tyres have been replaced for safety, and as brakes were inoperative and carbs gummed up like tar the first thing was a trip to an excellent local mechanic and a huge bill.
Lightly used since, it’s a lot slower than the one I bought new in 1981, but I am four stone heavier. Still runs but will need carbs going over again if you actually want to take on road. as trying to start now causes a flood from the petcock. For me it just sits in the garage on display these days due to other bikes.
Don’t expect showroom condition. This is a survivor not a restoration so it has aged as items do over 44 years. They are only original once and my view is restoring it would be a shame, but being 100% all there you have that option. Very few examples will have original tank, seat, front mudguard and exhaust system. Two keys, one original and one replica cut because the hassle of losing the only key on a 44 year old bike doesn’t bear thinking about. Find another as complete and low mileage. Truly one of a kind.
