Condition:
Starts, runs, and drives well. A minor oil leak to the rear drive train is noted — common for vehicles of this vintage — but it remains mechanically sound and road-usable. Overall, it presents well for its age, with a genuine patina and age-related character that adds to its charm.

Storage & Viewing:
The car is currently kept in a secure, temperature-controlled facility with The Unit Vehicle Storage in Poole. Viewings are welcome by appointment. Nationwide delivery can be arranged. This Hustler Beach Buggy has been in long-term ownership for 37 years and is a true one-off. It’s powered by a VW 411 / Porsche 914 flat-four, giving it a distinctive air-cooled sound and real character on the road. Unlike many buggies that have lived a hard life, this one has been cared for, dry-stored, and maintained over decades.

What makes it special is the combination of originality, usability, and charm. It’s lightweight, mechanically simple, and gets attention for all the right reasons. Whether you’re looking for something to take to local shows, enjoy on summer drives, or add to a collection, this example offers something with real personality and an honest history.

It’s also supplied with a fitted tonneau and full weather gear, making it more practical than most, and comes with a detailed history file from its long-term keeper.
