The time has come to sell my Dad's much loved Volvo Amazon.
I have been the owner now for a while but it not the same being out in the car without him next to me.
We have known this car for over 20 years and it's been in my family for at least 15 of those.
The car was featured in Classic and Sports car magazine in the Buyers Guide article in May this year and the photos on the advert were taken by the fabulous James Mann photography.
While the car is not a show winner, it is a great clean and genuine example and is by far the most reliable car I own.
Inspection is welcome and the car is in dry storage close to my home.
The car has overdrive on 3rd and 4th and also benefits from a electronic distribitor and coil.
We added electric power streering and this makes the car a joy to drive in town.
During lockdown I fitted two new front wings, new inner door cards and carpet througout.
I have a new 8 track player which will need to be fitted and a collection of 8 track albums included in the sale.
There a few spares and rear screen also available. The car came from a family freind who used it to go to France over each winter for most of it's life so it been spared the dreaded UK road salt.
In 2012 it went under a respray restoration, aside from the front wings which I replaced over lockdown and than had the bodyshop paint.
A few minor rust spots but nothing major. Drive and passenger floor pans will need a small patch of welding, but I have kept everything open and accessible for inspection.
