Motodrome offer this charming 1965 Volvo ‘Amazon’ 121 4-door automatic, finished in pale blue with black interior
Compared to the horrors that some of the British motor industry was churning out in 1965, the Amazon, with it’s toughness and rally pedigree, feels light years ahead in terms of engineering quality and dynamic ability, and it feels like it’s been hewn from solid rock as it goes down the road.
This one has the bombproof B18 1778cc engine coupled to a Borg Warner automatic gearbox with column shift, and trundles down the road happily.
It’s also fitted with a full-length Webasto-type sunroof, which opens and closes as it should. Ideal to let the sunshine in on a summers day.
Matching set of Continental tyres.
Odometer reading 97000 miles, and comes with a decent history file including MOT’s back to 1991, bills, and owners manual.
Whilst gently patinated, it’s rather nice in my opinion.
