This RHD car is in immaculate condition and had a nut and bolt rebuild in 2020.
The bodywork and paint were in extremely good condition; the car was imported to the UK from Cyprus in 2020, which is why the bodywork has no signs of corrosion.
All original running gear bushes and rubbers perished rubbers and bushes were renewed, replaced and refurbished. The list is endless and difficult to cover in an advert. Hopefully the pictures show the incredible results.
The engine was stripped to a block with the core plugs removed for cleaning. the gear box was rebuilt with new bearings and any worn parts replaced. Full new clutch fitted. Propshaft had new joints and was rebalanced. The gear stick connection the the gearbox has been machined and sleeved to take out any play making driving the car a pleasure. The engine runs very smoothly.
Rear Axle stripped, back lash checked, and new bearing and seals fitted. The brakes were totally replaced, including callipers and master and slave cylinders. Black Goodridge hoses fitted to brakes and clutch.
All ball joints replaced and Polybushes fitted to all the suspension. New front and rear shocks. All retained suspension, axle and crossmembers sandblasted and two pack epoxy painted and then waxed.
All Upholstery renewed.
Radiator re-cored and all new hoses. Heater stripped and painted. the list goes on and on. and the perishables less so. The only two things which are none-standard are the two branch manifold to go with the Simson sports exhaust and the KN air filter to replace the oil filled filter fitted for the dryer climate. Both of the original parts will come with the car.
This has to be one of the best early two door cars, in stunning red and white available. I have not managed to describe all that has been done, for example pulleys and catches replated, but the intention was to make the car as good and reliable as possible, which it now is. This Volvo Amazon 122S is a stunning looking car in beautiful condition throughout, the rebuild was done to perfection, ready to be driven and enjoyed.
