This is a 190 E with the legendary 2. 5-16 valve engine (M102. 990) that was developed by COSWORTH for Mercedes-Benz. It was a further development of the 2. 3-16. This amazing 150kw engine is paired to a five-speed manual dog-leg gearbox from Getrag.
Various upgrades have been made in period and includes a Turbonetic Turbocharger installed by Fast Eddy from Brakpan, raising the power output to 200kw. He is well-known in Mercedes-Benz circles for his professional and reliable installations. This car is testimant to his work, having provided problem free wheeling for the past 15 years.
The brakes have also been uprated to the beefier version found on the AMG C32. AMG 5 Spoke Wheels complete the understated exterior and are wider at the back for extra traction and better stance.
The rear suspension includes the legendary BOGE self-levelling system from factory and enhances the tractability of the car.
