PS I've had a few requests asking for photos of the inside of the roof when "popped" so I've added those. Also some photos of the general condition of the interior, including a split on the drivers seat - it was there when I got the van but hasn't got any worse in my ownership. There is also a replacement (non-period) panel beneath the bench seat in the rear, which forms part of the bed when folded out, but in both seat and bed mode the cushions cover it.
I think the rear cushions are replacements (not original) but they look period to me, and the curtains are definitely not original (the previous owner made them/ had them made). Very characterful little van that gets a lot of looks and waves, without the VW tax! I have been all over the south of England in it and it has not let me down, I have never had to call a breakdown van out. It is not fast (50mph is a comfortable "max") . Drum brakes all around, but they are surprisingly good.
Chassis solid. Bodywork a bit crusty in places but a very useable van. Tyres have good tread, but are starting to show their age.
The steering is a little loose - There is a replacement steering link included with the van, I just have not have had time to get it fitted.
Classic insurance is very cheap (I pay around £100/ year fully comp).
In my time with the van, I have replaced the side window seals, fitted a split charger with a hefty leisure battery, LED lighting, USB sockets, a new main battery, and service items here and there.
Spare/ jack/ handle all present.
Same key does all doors/ boot/ ignition. Spare key present.
Please note the dash-mounted radio does not work.
Selling due to lack of use (we have too many children to fit in it now!)
