Here we have a pristine original 1990 Jaguar XJS V12.
This belongs to my elderly neighbour, it was her husbands pride and joy, he died some years ago and she has kept up with repairs and has kept the vehicle MOT'd but as she doesnt like to drive it but has decided that its now time for someone else to enjoy it.
This hasnt been restored, it has lived its life in a temperature and humidity controlled garage under a cover so has basically no rust (im sure you could find some spots underneath if you really looked)
I have MOT'd it for her a few times now so have driven it and looked around, the photos don't do justice to how clean this car is. it is evident that it has had new brake calipers and new springs/ struts recently and it was effectivley wanted for nothing, if its needed anything then its been done.
I feel that the rear mounting on the transmission is a bit soft and you can occasionally feel it - that is about the only thing that is wrong with it otherwise it is pretty perfect.
Examine the photos closely, this is a time capsule from the 90s and really turns heads, even when I have driven this around shouty sports cars everyone looks at the jaguar!
I MOT'd this again in June 2025 so its ready to go, I can arrange viewing for people that are seriously interested and field questions but the actual sale will be from her, she has the mountain of paperwork and is the guardian of the keys.
The interior is as clean as the rest of the car, I'm not a small person and I do fit in it quite well. The engine seems to run perfectly, even passing the modern cat test at MOT (I kept a duplicate of this certificate) and all of the electrics seem to work.
Obviously you couldn't get straight in this and daily it, it needs to be looked after and although its only done about 15 miles in the last 3 years it wants an oil change and service.
The tyres, as you would expect are very old but in good condition with being stored inside.
The owner is elderly as mentioned before and hard of hearing so I have agreed to handle the advertising and the questions / phone calls and as mentioned before, the actual sale will be from her.
She will not really come down on the price, this is an amazing example and they have poured money and love into it over the years. This is as good an example of an original car as there is going to be, when she first asked me to MOT her jaguar i dont know what i was expecting but it wasn't this!
