Description
1964 MGB Roadster 3 sync Overdrive Heritage Shell Significant recent expenditure.
My father purchased this car around 3 years ago, as a car to use, enjoy and improve. As a Heritage Shell car the bodywork is superb, none of the usual rot issues of normal MGB’s. During his ownership a top end engine overhaul was carried out, reconditioned head, reconditioned rocker assembly, new camshaft etc. The gearbox has also been overhauled. Engine bay has also been comprehensively detailed. You’ll struggle to find an MGB with a cleaner engine bay which is also period correct according to Original MGB by Klausager. Chrome is in very good condition. I’ve regularly driven the car 60 miles in a week, (when the weather is good). It’s probably the most sorted MGB I’ve driven.
The interior is tidy and smart. All the dash switches work correctly, the speedometer has been overhauled. Battery isolator has also been fitted. Pack away hood and Tonneau cover comes with the car, both are in very good condition. There is a touring kit in the boot which will come with the car.
There is a large amount of paperwork on file including from earlier ownership. Certainly a significant amount of money has been spent on this car. It’s a struggle to sell this car, as it’s so well sorted. However I lost my father who owned the car to cancer earlier this year. As such priorities have shifted and I need to focus on finishing my own MGB. It’s time to move it on.
