Description

Welcome to Track & Tour Cars. I might look like a business, but this is really where I sell my own cars, the ones I’ve lived with, loved, and maintained. Perhaps one day I’ll have the capital to rescue the hidden gems we all spot; for now, it’s my personal collection.

I’m a meticulous guy who fixes things before they squeak and, frankly, spends more than sense allows. Friends and family constantly send tempting finds; fellow petrolheads will know the feeling. I’ve learnt the hard way, from dodgy paint to low compression and a cut and shut once, so I am now very fussy when acquiring new vehicles.

What you’ll get here are honest, well-cared-for cars with clear histories and well-documented work. I price them fairly for the condition and preparation. Have a browse, and if one feels like your next long way home companion, let’s chat about motors and arrange a test drive.

Here is my PH2 Yaris T-Sport in Thunder Grey. This is the second Yaris T-Sport I've had, and I seem to keep coming back to them. A short-ratio box, punchy little 1NZ engine, stiff chassis and predictable characteristics make this a remarkably rewarding car to drive. I seem to keep coming back for more. I, however, feel this one is too nice to use day to day for myself. It cost me a pretty penny, and I wish to get back what I've spent. I would consider a part exchange with a higher mileage example with cash my way. However, I now have a few too many cars at home and really need to free up some room, so would prefer a cash sale at this point.

It wants for nothing. With a clean chassis, great paint work and a healthy engine that got fresh Miller's ee performance oil, filters and spark plugs. It's ready to be enjoyed. I even threw on a set of PS3 tyres that I ran on my old Yaris. They're the perfect match for this car and recommend them to any and everyone in the community.

When I picked up this car it was showing the signs of parking mishaps from the previous elderly owner, who appeared to struggle with spatial awareness. While the scuffs weren't serious, I had the car painted as my body shop is local and has looked after many of my cars. When I picked it up I was blown away and then felt guilty driving it around and terrified of car park dings, stone chips and such. So I concluded it was too nice to allow myself to drive daily and risk getting it damaged.

This car is a clean slate for the next owners to really cherish, park over two spaces at the back of Waitrose and wax and polish on the weekend. These are practical, fun and capable cars wherever you take them. My own Yaris went on track with no complaints and with it's plucky 105bhp chassed many cars it has no right chasing.

I hope the next owner looks after it and takes it to car shows, or just keeps it in fine fettle.

My last Yaris I had camber bolts and Koni SR shocks which I'd recommend to the next owner if they like to drive spiritedly. But the car is standard as it sits so the next owner can enjoy as is or do what they like with it next.

The Private Reg: A62 FAY is included in the sale and belonged to the elderly lady who owned it before. Similar plates on Swift Reg and the like are up for £750 to £1250.

The clock currently reads 33, 280 miles, so is exceptionally low mileage for the year. When looking into the cap of the engine it looks exceptionally clean. This speaks volumes. The gentleman from who I purchased this car from had plans himself for the car but ended up just keeping it garaged and reluctantly sold it to me when he came to the conclusion he didn't have time for it and his business needed a cash injection. He owns the garage that had taken care of the car year in and year out before the owner's unfortunate passing. Thus he was aware of its pristine past. Unfortunately, during the processing of the previous owner's house after passing much was lost and the service book was included in that. I was comforted greatly, though, when inspecting the car in person on a ramp and on the ground, as everything that one could wish had been greased, from door hinges to the locks.

I saw a very solid car looking for some minor TLC, paintwork-wise wise ready to be loved again. There is, however, a catch, and one of the reasons I am pricing the car cheaper than other similar Yari' that have passed through Cars and Classic/ eBay. This is the ABS/ Handbrake light. This illuminated on the way back from Wales, where I purchased the car. It went away before I was home again though so I thought it could just be the effects of the car having sat for quite some time. The light unfortunatly came back again a week later though after having been sat for a few days when I went back to my other car. I've taken it to my local garage who took a quick look and saw nothing wrong with the car in regards to the ABS or handbrake. The light, however, had also gone away by the time I arrived at the garage... typical. So I took it as a sign and ignored it. The car is perfect in every other way, but I wish to be fully transparent about this intermittent fault.

I have now purchased a dream car and am now enjoying the woe's of N54 BMW life and the costs and foibles associated with that. If you know the N54 you'll be aware that they can be money pits. For now I love it and this must go to fund it. If someone did want to part ex a rougher T-Sport it could be a good economical daily for when it inevitably goes into the shop.

Back to the Yaris. If it helps and I get my asking price of 5, 495 I'm happy to put on a fresh MOT.

The V5 has 3 Previous owners.

The air conditioning is nice and cold, which was particularly appreciated this summer.

I have three keys for the car: 2 regular central locking keys and a plain service key.

The original Toyota wallet with manuals and associated paperwork work, including a new Toyota service book for the next owner.

Newish Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres (195/ 50 R15) - The best tyre for these cars. A rock I will stand and die on ; )

A very recent service (Last 100 miles) (including spark plugs for good measure)

Tidy rust free chassis

Tight gearbox & sharp steering (Not a surprise given mileage and the fact that the elderly lady only commuted to the local post office in her village where she resided)

Clean interior that looks delightfully untouched.

Viewings welcome in Northampton. Serious buyers only, please — no time wasters or silly offers.
