Description
For sale is my 2003 MG TF 135 in Le Mans Green metallic paint, unfortunately just doesn't get enough use anymore to justify keeping it. This car has had a complete overhaul of all running gear in my ownership to make it as reliable as possible.
Everything from suspension through to the engine internals has been overhauled to make it as reliable as possible with a few small performance upgrades. The engine was rebuilt a little over 2 years ago and has been faultless since, list of everything carried out during the rebuild as below:
- 1. 8 135 K Series Engine
- Ported cylinder head rebuilt with newly lapped valves, springs and hydraulic lifters
- New cylinder liners and shimmed to 4thou proud
- New piston rings
- New main and big end bearings
- Upgraded double elastomer head gasket and new head bolts, cam seals, timing belt and water pump
- New OEM camshafts
- New OEM Bosch injectors and fuel regulator
- New Coil packs and leads
- Fuel pump replaced
- All coolant lines replaced with new silicone along with new coolant bottle
- Stainless coolant pipes under floor
- Stainless coolant pipes in engine bay
- Lower temperature PRT thermostat for more controlled heating up and cooling
- New engine mount (Upper and lower + gearbox mount)
- Upgraded alternator belt tensioner
- 1. 8 Turbo clutch, pressure plate and release bearing with new slave cylinder and upgraded greaseable clutch arm.
- Upgraded big bore stainless braided clutch line from master to slave cylinder (Gives a really smooth responsive pedal feel)
- New gearbox output seals, gearbox also flushed through and serviced.
- Gear cables replaced
- Handbrake cables replaced
- Common engine wiring harness break points all rewired and extended to prevent future failure.
- All brake hard lines replaced with new copper-nickel (juniper), new Flexi lines
- Rear brake calipers rebuilt and 280mm big rear brake kit fitted from William Naylor.
- 4-2-1 Stainless exhaust manifold and downpipe with Flexi, 200 cell high flow sports cat, MG Xpower back box.
- Front and Rear subframes including chassis bracing acid dipped and powder coated.
- Every suspension arm, ball joint, bushing and link replaced with new and power coated where possible.
Additional points:
- AP 4 Pot front brake calipers
- 11 spoke 16" alloy wheels with good tyres
- Alcantara and leather two tone seats and door cards
- Original "new old stock" mohair soft top in green (Was in original storage packaging until 2023 when fitted)
- Front fog lights
