It has full paper work and documentation with the vehicle, there is a a good deal of records and the original logbooks for the car.
The car runs and starts nicely, it purrs along with a great presence on the road turning heads everywhere. The Fabulous Aubergine (metallic) with its period vinyl/ Everflex roof look stunning.
Full Leather with the characteristic smell of quality are abundant with the car.
Only 342 of these series 1 Daimler Vanden Plas were ever produced, so there are not many left now, very few actually on the road driving as this one is.
The distinctive 66VDX registration number will accompany the car as as such is included. This has quite a value in its own right.
The car has been serviced recently , and had a good check over.
I have had the car cleaned, valeted and polished , it has recent new Pirelli tyres and battery, the dash is in surprisingly good order for the time, the chrome and bright work is is great condition.
The body work is in great condition, not concourse but perfectly acceptable and way above average , it has in the past had a full very expensive respray by a jaguar main dealer specialists. Floors and the boot area are in good order under the mats.
Everything seems to work as it should.
The Original handbooks are present.
The car has the benefit of having had an MOT done earlier this month (no advisories) although Tax and MOT exempt obviously.

This car is from a distinctively bygone era, one simply wafts along in these fabulous cars.

I bought this car, because I've always wanted one especially a series 1 variant and even better still a Daimler Vanden Plas.
Unfortunately I am undergoing knee replacements shortly and as such I am unable to continue to look after these great cars I have myself. It is time for someone else to enjoy the fantastic old classic Daimler Double Six VDP. I will not be able to use it as much as I had hoped.
The car has had a lot of work done in the past , this makes it a really good car to drive or show.
The 12 cylinders simply ooze power , producing an astonishing 266 hp, which from the 70's is a great effort indeed. Purported to be capable of 140 mph that is indeed no mean feat.
However it is a car to enjoy, use and have the pleasure of driving an iconic marque from the past . The car is 52 years old, but still holds its beauty and sublime presence on the road at all times.
