Registered new on 30/ 5/ 1995
Only 3 previous owners showing on V5 before me, I’ve owned the car for over 9 years.
MOT’d until October 2026.
Under 77, 000 miles on the clock.
In my ownership I've kept on top of the mechanicals, always replacing engine oil and filters once a year regardless of miles.
Most recent bigger jobs done at 74, 695 miles...... the timing belt, water pump, tensioner and crank pulleys replaced, the thermostat and coolant was also replaced, at the same time the oil and filter, air filter and spark plugs were replaced. 4 new tyres fitted too.
It has covered roughly 2000 miles since.
As well as the usual service items, in my ownership I’ve replaced the auxiliary radiator, water manifold seals and upgraded the ignition to a coil per cylinder setup.
Not long after I got the car I had both sides and front and rear bumpers painted by a reputable paint shop, at this time both front wings and lower door mouldings were replaced with genuine Audi parts. Paintwork is still excellent as it’s only covered 6, 500 miles at most since. I do however regret not having the tailgate painted as it had the tiniest bit of rust showing which has grown slightly.
It’s had some RS2 parts fitted, these include rear bumper, tailgate panel, grill, badges, mirrors, brakes, hubs and of course the Porsche Cup alloy wheels.
It has an uprated Whiteline anti-roll bar fitted to the rear. The front bumper was replaced with a Reiger one when the paintwork was done. The spare wheel is also a Cup alloy.
Engine bay is very presentable. Engine is an ABY unit but has RS2 exhaust manifold and intercooler. Dialynx carried out engine work plus other bits back in 1999, I have all the original receipts and have emailed Dialynx who were able to confirm they had worked on the car.
Inside it has front Recaro seats from a later Golf which have been trimmed with Quattro script material, they look the part!
The car drives very well, clutch is good and gear selection is positive. Handles well and stops as you’d expect!
There’s a folder FULL of receipts for lots and lots of work carried out over the years, this also verifies the mileage.
Private plate will be removed and it’ll be on M735 GSU
