FULLY ELECTRIC CLASSIC 110
Are you looking for a one-of-a-kind vehicle that combines classic charm with modern electric performance? Look no further! This 1989 Land Rover 110, originally assembled in South Africa and imported to the UK in 2021, has been expertly converted to fully electric by the renowned Electric Classic Cars. Mixing that classic look, with modern reliability and the added benefit of zero emissions.
In 2022 we started the conversion of our classic 1989 Land Rover 110 which had been imported from South Africa the year before. Whilst in great condition, with a chassis that every Defender owner dreams about, it still needed some work to the bulkhead and footwell before the old V8 was replaced with 100kW of Tesla technology. The team at Electric Classic Cars led by Richard 'Moggy' Morgan took on the project and after a few trips down to visit, we collected 'Ferdi' in January 2024 complete with some added comfort, audio and security features.
This car is a solid 10 for enjoyment, matching the rich Defender 'go anywhere' legacy with modern push button start reliability oh and did I mention how quick it is! This 450bhp-equivalent eLandy has Tesla's in app ability to select three levels of acceleration: from '90's hot-hatch quick, to Porsche GTR rapid off the lights. Or creep along comfortably and silently over rough, inaccessible terrain. Unfortunately, due to a change in our circumstances and pending foreign excitement, Ferdi is in search of a new owner.
Electric Conversion: Powered by 16 Tesla batteries and a Tesla Model S large drive motor, offering a smooth and powerful driving experience on road, and enhanced performance offroad. Too much fun!

Renovated and Upgraded: Includes renovated Sailsbury axles, uprated disc brakes for enhanced safety and performance, 6 new Exmoor Trim seats for comfort, new heated windscreen and new Alpine and single-piece Rear windows.
Classic Appeal: Retains the iconic look and feel of the original Land Rover 110, with the added benefit of zero tailpipe emissions.

As it conforms to all ULEZ requirements, has zero road tax and a decent range or 90-120miles, it is perfect for commuting in Capital cities, crossing a country estate at weekends or turning heads at summer festivals and public charge points … and is well practised in all three!
