Description
Built in the early 80s, this Land Rover Series III 109” Stage One V8 is not the usual agricultural workhorse but a piece of Land Rover folklore.
Today it wears its new skin with confidence after a recent restoration that brought it back to its origins in a colour more commonly associated with a racing car than with a 4×4 that moves through mud.
Paired with the roaring 3. 5-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine modified by Edelbrock and a 4‑speed gearbox, it has the dynamics and speed perfectly suited to the rest of the package.
Recently subjected to a careful restoration/ refitting covering all its parts, the odometer shows only 12, 503 km.
Both the chassis and the original bulkhead have been repaired and hot-dip galvanised, along with every other steel piece that could have corroded over time.
Suspension components have been replaced, the braking system overhauled, body panels repainted after meticulous sand blasting and the underworks treated to erase signs of age.
Mechanically the mighty V8 engine has been correctly brought back into service by replacing the carburettors and fitting a dedicated Edelbrock kit.
The water pump and the timing belt have also been replaced, not to mention the sports exhausts that surely excite enthusiasts of all ages given their customised stainless steel setup with opening valves.
Soft top in black, flat-fold windscreen, and a three-abreast arrangement of sporty front seats in black leather paired with tartan fabric, plus benches facing sideways at the rear, make it comfortably usable by 9 passengers.
Other highlights include:
Alloy gears and differential-lock knobs
Powder-coated green door tops and a wooden cargohold deck
Full rewire to modern standards
New lighting and seals everywhere
Everything works as it should: gauges, indicators, lights, wipers, and, well… this is basically it.
It’s a Land Rover — simplicity is the charm!
ASI-listed and registered in Italy, it’s ready to accompany you wherever you want ...
