1966 Sunbeam Tiger
With some reluctance I am thinning out my small collection of old cars and sadly, my amazing Tiger has to go. When I started looking for a Tiger some years ago, I noticed that many of these cars have been modified. It isn’t uncommon for owners to beef up or replace the original 260ci engine to add more power. However, what impressed me about this car is that the previous owner, of some forty years, also significantly upgraded the brakes and suspension with improved springs, roll bar, all suspension joints and bushes as well as serous disc brakes all around. All the work was done by Tiger guru David Herning. Features include:
Rebuilt HiPo 289, Edlebrock alloy heads, MSD injection and electronic ignition, five-speed, LSD, Brembo brakes – discs all round, electric power steering, Koni shocks, uprated springs and poly bushes. Panasport alloys. Renewed wiring harness. Uprated alloy radiator. Leather interior. Roll over bar goes with the car.
The car has recently been checked and serviced by Herning Motorsport.
