MGA Twin Cam Coupe 1959. Original UK supplied car in great shape.
1 of only 323 Twin Cam Coupe's produced , and only 1 of the 150 cars supplied to the home market.
This car received a complete last nut and bolt body off the chassis professional restoration that was completed in the late 1990's.
The car is finished in its original colour of Mineral Blue, with a light grey interior that's piped in blue.
Fitted with many rare optional extras that include, Deluxe seats, special works style rear parcel shelf, adjustable steering column fitted with a 15" Moto Lita wood rim steering wheel, Inertia reel seat belts finished in a contrasting blue, factory style chrome luggage rack, front anti roll bar and uprated front springs, and fitted with 5. 5" wider Dunlop peg drive wheels running 185-65-15 tyres.
The car is presently fitted with a fast road spec 1850cc engine that's coupled to a Ford Type 9 5 speed gearbox conversion supplied by High Gear Engineering .
The engine is delightful and provides lots of mid range torque, this engine was fitted in 2022 when the original Twin Cam motor developed a problem.
The car has covered just over 11250 miles, 4000 plus of which was completed this summer on a seven week tour of the United Kingdom to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the MGA.
The car comes with a large history file with lots of photos and receipts that cover its restoration, there are also old buff log books and modern registration documents including old V5 and new V5C, also many old MOT tests including its current MOT test that expires in June 2026.
N. B. The original Twin Cam engine is available at an additional cost, and if you prefer standard size wheels I have them available.
