Good value for its age. Always had a lot of TLC since we bought it in 1999.
Full service history. Always serviced and MOTs by Volvo mechanics. Main service and summer service each year .
Original instruction book available. Detailed spreadsheet of car's complete life history, with parts, costs, mileage etc - available to new owner.
At last main service and MOT, spent £1000 to update it including new front brake pads and discs.
New battery in March 2024.
Passenger side windscreen wiper replaced August 2025.
Body colour: described as 'purple' but official paint colour is called 'Aubergine Pearl'.
Grey interior with 5 mid grey leather seats including integrated booster cushion centre back. Some wear on driver's seat.
Spare wheel. Tonneau cover at rear. Radio, tape player.
Very tiny amount of rust front offside. Otherwise body in good condition.
Some TLC needed for heating system, already checked by Volvo garage. Analysis available. We have had many Volvo estate cars since 1982 (including a sporty 480) but this is definitely the best of them all, and the one we have kept the longest (26 years). It has taken us on many French holidays, and it travelled via Motorail for many years in its younger days with no problems.
Being automatic, it is relaxing to drive but needs to be treated with respect for her age. Also, being an estate car, it so useful for luggage.
I have been very reluctant to sell it but I don't need 2 cars and need driveway space. I will be very sad to see it go as it has been part of the family for so many years.
Thus, it is priced to sell quickly.
