Description

Reduced to £16, 000, open to sensible offers.
For sale is my Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 2, a completely standard and original 1994 car imported from Japan in May 2007. It has 3 former keepers since being in the UK so hasn't been passed around like plenty of these were, and is only on 120, 900km (75, 000 miles). The car was a garage queen to the previous owners spending more time in their garage than on the road. Because of that, it is in good cosmetic condition, however during my ownership it has needed some expected mechanical maintenance work due to not being driven so much.

June ‘24 - Four new tyres original size 205/ 60/ 15 Vredestein Quatrac due to the car being both a Summer and Winter car for me. Alignment also @ Eden Tyres.
July ‘24 - Restoring any corroded brake hard lines @ trusted local mechanic.
July ‘24 - Replacing brake lines at all four corners with HEL brake lines as original rubber lines weren’t available @ local trusted mechanic.
July ‘24 - Oil service at 113, 128kms @ my drive.
Feb ‘25 - Timing belt & tensioner replaced @ WMD EVO.
Feb ‘25 - Water pump & thermostat replaced @ WMD EVO.
June ‘25 - Oil and air filter at 120, 676kms @ my drive.
June ‘25 - Coil packs & HT leads changed @ my drive.
September ‘25 - Minor boost leak fixed @ WMD EVO.
September ‘25 - Steering rack boot replaced @ WMD EVO.
September ‘25 - Throttle body refurbished @ WMD EVO.
September ‘25 - Anti roll bar drop links, anti roll bar bushes, and track rod ends + alignment @ WMD EVO.

There is also a list of work done pre my ownership in the history.

The car has had CROWN rust treatment in November 2024 to make sure the car would survive the winter. I also took the precaution to rinse the underbody every week or so during the winter just in case there was anything clinging on that shouldn't be. Rust is mentioned on the latest MOT as expected with these imports, the exhaust will eventually need attention, but the chassis is mostly clean with a couple scabby bits near the front, some starting on the arches, as well as one of the spoiler mounting points which hasn't nearly made its way through the bootlid, but hopefully you can judge this yourself from the photos. The bodywork is otherwise in good condition, with a few marks which I’ve tried my best to capture in the photos.

With the car being 100% unmodified and stock and is a joy to drive which has only gotten better with all the remedial work done over the last year. It’s even got the original Japanese tape deck radio, flare, and the wooden cover for the spare wheel with the mitsubishi sticker! So much character to this car I’m really going to miss it.

The clutch is high and will need to be done soon, the car still pulls strong and without hesitation, but I just dont have the money to keep the car at the moment, and with it going to a new owner you can choose whether to go down the upgrade path, or, as I would, keep it as near stock as possible.

It’s just had an MOT so is ready to go for another year! I am having to sell a bit sooner than expected due to needing the money for my house.

Price is £16, 000 ONO, I’ve been as honest as possible in the listing so there should be no surprises upon a viewing, test drives will be done by myself.
