This is a fully sorted, comprehensively restored Evo 6 that has been rebuilt with a focus on long-term reliability, proper execution, and maintaining an OEM-correct presentation.
At approximately 190, 000 km, the car underwent a full “nut and bolt” rotisserie restoration by a reputable high-end classic car refinishing specialist in BC, Canada. Full details, documentation, and photos of the process are available to serious buyers upon request.
The chassis was stripped to bare metal and refinished on a rotisserie in OEM single-stage Scotia White (paint code W83). All metal body panels were stripped and repainted. Aluminum components, subframes, large brackets, and steering knuckles were media-blasted and refinished (painted or powder coated as appropriate). Smaller brackets and hardware/ fasteners throughout the car were refinished with gold zinc coating.
Fuel lines, sway bars, and brake components were refinished, with the factory Brembo calipers rebuilt and powder coated.
The car retains its original OEM 17x7. 5 OZ wheels, which have also been fully restored and powder coated.
Mechanically, the car has been thoroughly gone through:
The engine was rebuilt to an OEM+ specification by Fraser Valley Engine & Machine (Abbotsford, BC), using Wiseco HD pistons, Manley H-Tuff rods, and ARP hardware. It retains a factory-correct external appearance while being built to support increased power if the next owner chooses to upgrade further.
The transmission was rebuilt by Bert’s Automotive Transmissions (Vancouver, BC), using a Jacks Transmissions synchro and seal kit, with upgraded input & output shaft bearings (revised needle bearings). The transfer case has also been rebuilt with new seals and upgraded 12. 9-grade front differential bolts.
An Evo 8 Exedy OEM replacement clutch and pressure plate have been installed, along with an Evo 8 OEM flywheel (resurfaced) and ARP flywheel bolts.
From factory, the Evo 6 is equipped with Mitsubishi’s legendary full-time AWD system, utilizing a helical front LSD, viscous-coupling center differential, and Active Yaw Control (AYC) rear differential. Working in conjunction, these systems deliver the planted, “on-rails” cornering feel the Evo is known for, with confident traction across dry tarmac, wet conditions, snow, gravel, and everything in between. The AYC pump has been replaced and properly bled.
Additional recent work includes:
• Injectors rebuilt & flow-tested
• A/ C system serviced
• New OEM seals, gaskets, weatherstripping, and body plugs throughout
• Alternator, starter, A/ C compressor, crank pulley replaced
• Wheel hubs and bearings, tie rod ends, axles, and clutch master/ slave cylinders addressed
Non-OEM modifications:
• 1NZ COP conversion
• FellyBuilt 2. 5" stainless cat-back exhaust
• Fujitsubo downpipe
• Sony DSX-GS900 head unit
• JBL GX628 speakers
• AEM boost & wideband gauges
• Fortune Auto coilovers
The stock ECU has been tuned by Drive Hard Performance (Richmond, BC) to suit North American fuel.
This is a complete, well-executed car that presents properly and has been restored and rebuilt to a standard that is difficult to replicate. It is not a project, and is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
Located in Canada. Willing to ship worldwide at buyer's expense. This is a truly special example of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI. Originally acquired to fulfill a childhood dream, the current owner enjoyed the car as a daily driver for several years before committing to a full restoration.
What followed was a meticulous, five-year process carried out with patience and attention to detail, resulting in one of if not the cleanest Evo 6 example in Canada. Unfortunately it is now just "too nice" for the owner to justify using it as a daily driver or participating in TSD rallies, which is ultimately why it is being offered for sale.
This Evo is best suited to a discerning enthusiast or collector who understands its significance: a modern classic with deep roots in rally heritage.
As values for well-preserved and properly restored examples continue to rise globally, the next custodian will not only enjoy a highly engaging driving experience, but also ownership of a vehicle with strong long-term collectability.
