Description
Rare Moto Guzzi V11 Le Mans Rosso Corsa. This special edition has Ohlins suspension front and rear, carbon mudguard, red rocker covers and a unique paint scheme. In my view it is the nicest of the V11 special editions. Owned by me for 9 years. In excellent unrestored original condition. In my ownership the bike has had a rectifier, new Valeo starter motor and the gearbox selector spring replaced and upgraded. This is a common V11 weak point. I have also modified it as follows.
- Mistral crossover centre section, aftermarket end cans with removable baffles, K&N Air Filter. Engine is much freer and revs better with these mods. Sounds glorious too. I currently have the rear footpegs removed as I like the upswept look to the exhausts.
- Tomaselli clip on bars (multi adjustable) and lower foot pegs making it all-day comfortable.
I have kept all of the original parts, which will come with the bike, should you wish to return it to standard.
Comprehensive maintenance records, mostly by Mark of V Twin Services (respected Italian Motorcycle Specialist). Last serviced by me about 800 miles ago (oil, filter and transmission oil).
Good Avon Spirit ST Tyres with loads of life left on
The bike Odomoter shows 16, 515miles, but it had new clocks in 2011 at 9, 833, making the total mileage 26, 348. This is documented in the history. Many V11's of this era had an issue with the clocks and were replaced. It was misting I believe. Current clocks work well, although the reset for the trip will need refitting. Mileage may increase if I'm free on the next dry day.
All body work is in superb condition. Alternator cover could do with repainting. It picks up some stone chips due to its location.
When new, the bike was registered as a V11 Tenni in error. I have a letter from Piaggio confirming that it is a Rosso Corsa. This can be used to amend it with DVLA if the new owner wishes to. I looked for several years before I found this and it has been a privilege to own and ride it.
