Description
Offered for sale is my 1977 Moto Guzzi 254. Imported from Spain some years ago, it has spent its time on static display in a private collection and shows a remarkable 1, 205 kilometres (748 miles) from new.
The bike remains in near-completely original condition, retaining almost all of the components fitted when it left the factory. It even retains the original Michelin tyres.
The plastic body panels are in excellent condition and retain their original bright appearance. The finishes on the frame, engine and other components are also factory-original and in good condition for a bike now 49 years old. There are a few minor imperfections here and there, along with the usual signs of light wear and patina you would expect to find on an original example.
The bike has had a new battery fitted and the engine oil and filter changed. It starts and runs, but there are a couple of jobs that will need attention before it can be returned to the road. The front brake master cylinder and caliper will need overhauling, and it would benefit from a new set of tyres if you intend to ride it.
It is supplied with a current V5C.
