A unique opportunity to own a stunning, newly restored, low owner 1975 Triumph Dolomite Sprint with a huge history file.
Currently owned by the Dolomite Clubs Sprint Registrar, this is probably one of the best Dolomite Sprints in the country for sale at the moment and has only covered 280 miles since a complete bare metal nut and bolt restoration costing over £20, 000.
The car has a fantastic history, having only had 5 owners since new, including its current owner. First sold to a manager of Sussex Motors Coach Company, it has been known to the Dolomite Club since the 1980s when its previous owner bought it aged 18. It has a huge file of paperwork including a heritage certificate, original owner’s manuals and service books.
Key restoration work done:
• The shell has been stripped back to bare metal, new Zintec sills have been fitted and other repairs have been made to the body to bring it up to standard.
• The underside has been etch primed then painted factory matt white.
• The body was then painted in its original shade of Triumph White then fully rustproofed with Bilt Hamber Dynax injected into all of the cavities. . It was then finished with a new vinyl roof, new side stripes, refurbished stainless trim and new badges.
• All of the bumpers have been re-chromed by Beckworth Silvabronz in Alton
• The wheels have been refurbished by Spit and Polish in Tonbridge and are shod in a set of brand new Uniroyal Rain Experts.
• The complete suspension system and subframe have been shot blasted, etch primed and powder coated in satin black and rebuilt using new bushes, new OE shock absorbers, ball joints and OE Spec heavy duty springs.
• The steering rack has been completely rebuilt, the rear axle and gearbox have been rebuilt by Guildford Transmissions, the overdrive engages as it should and the prop shaft has been rebuilt by Dave Mac prop shafts in Coventry.

• Engine mounts are new Chris Witor polybush mounts and it is all finished off with a new stainless steel standard exhaust system.
• The cooling system - often the Achilles’ heal of these cars - has been addressed with a new water pump, rebuilt three row radiator by GAT Radiators in Brierley Hill and the cylinder head has been completely overhauled with new valve seats, valves, springs and standard camshaft. Even in 30 degree heat at motorway speeds this car stays cool.
• The electrical system has been completely replaced with a new loom by AutoSparks, the headlights are the original period correct sealed beam Lucas units.
• The interior has been refreshed with new carpets, a new headliner, door cards, new door and window seals and refurbished wood veneer by Chapman and Cliff.
• All of the gauges have been rebuilt and function correctly including the original Kienzle clock.
On the road this car is smooth, sharp and sure-footed tracking dead straight thanks to a Hunter alignment. It starts on the button when cold, drives superbly with plenty of power and having only covered 280 miles since the rebuild it has plenty more to give as it runs in.
