Lotus Europa Special JPS
Offered for sale as an ongoing project is my 1973 JPS Lotus Europa Special. I have owned for around five years, previous owner had her since mid 1980's. The car has been off the road since around 2015, prior to that was in use as a daily driver. The engine runs, however its from a fuel can as the pump doesn't work- I have a video showing - and gears select (factory fitted four speed box) however, when purchased, we had to dismantle the brakes as they had seized, in order to move her, and we have never put them back together, Bodywork is not too bad with a little crazing but the paint has faded, although has "buffed up" when cleaned, and the drivers door handle needs repair The interior unfortunately got damp in storage and the carpets will need replacing, but the seats seem OK, and most of the electrics are working. The chassis has been replaced with a genuine galvanised one and there is a large history file with receipts, - many from Maidstone Sports Cars who looked after the car, some old photographs, including trips abroad and I have the letters of Provenance from the factory confirming the details and that that the colour is original. The last owner also replaced the speedo, with one showing a digital mileage display, although the original is still with the car
Viewing is most welcome, we are located between Stafford and Newport (Salop) postcode ST20, and we can access a ramp for viewing.
Genuine reason for sale
Please note - sorry, but not interested in swaps or part exchanges, Will need a trailer to take her away as the brakes do not work, and the car will need some general attention before being put back on the road. We may be able to help with delivery
