Lotus Europa Twin Cam 1973
Offered for sale is my 1973 Lotus Europa Twin Cam. I have owned for around a year. The previous owner had her since mid 1990's, and sadly passed away last year. The car was taken off the road around 1997 due to the need for a chassis change, a new Spyder spaceframe chassis was purchased (1999 - receipt included) and the car was (for some reason) fully stripped down. Apart from the front suspension bieng added, the work on the restoration then stalled. The car was originally Lagoon Blue, but at some point the colour was changed to white, and has four Wolfrace alloy wheels, and the interior is black. The chassis is still as new, and was dry stored, to the best of my knowledge the car is complete, apart from the carpets, and includes the front and rear screens that are not pictured, the engine is the correct L block. The body has been stripped of paint, and looks like it will need some structural work to the bulkhead (behind the seats). Unfortunately the log book was lost, and both the deceased estate and myself have informed DVLA, and although they have confirmed details, will not issue a new V5 until the restoration is done and car roadworthy, I have correspondence to confirm this. I have some receipts for the chassis and associated bits and pictures from when the car was last used
All in all, a serious restoration, not for the fainthearted, but with the benefit of a new chassis to start from. I have set the asking price not far off the price of a new chassis
