A limited run , “last of the line “ motorsport anniversary edition prior to the release of the E31 .
One of BMWs longest production models (1976-1989).
Only 3 colours were available( Novaro silver . Macao blue and Misano red ) 180 produced in total .
This one is in the rarest of the 3 colours . being Misano Red , 1 of 29 only .
Being a late E24 it is also a Highline model loaded with leather including internal leather lined roof , dash , door cards and Recaro electrically adjustable seats with memory function in black Nappa leather
Ahead to f it’s time - features an electric extendable front seat cushion for knee support( . puts the F90 m5 and m8 to shame as the same component in these cars is only manually adjustable!)
The smaller E30 brother never had electrically adjustable seats hence the level a big difference in levels of luxury .
M635 suspension from factory with a 25% Diff lock .
Electric front head rests and sun roof -and M tech steering wheel .

Engine has been refurbished (top end ) with new valve cover seals .
Rare 6 branch stainless steel manifold. and complete stainless steel exhaust to the tips which are mounted off centre - another unique feature of the E24 .
Electric tinted rear quarter windows which drop down a third - a feature which was not available in its smaller brother the E30 2 door variant .
Also rear passengers have the rear quarter window switches at their side - a feature that the newer E31 never had and only the driver was able to drop the rear quarter windows in the E31 .
Rear windscreen also tinted .
Silky smooth 6 with effortless power and comfortably seats 4 - more room in the rear than the E31 .
Long car similar in length to the E31 at around 4. 8 m .
Interior has been kept period with the head unit however upgraded to play music via blue tooth and hands free telephone .
Wheels 17 inch polished lip BBS wheels wrapped in new premium tyres 245/ 40/ 17 all round . which gives the car more stance and presence .
A true eye catcher always turns heads .
Becoming now very rare and would suit an enthusiast .

All major suspension components have been replaced Several thousand in receipts
Air conditioning in full working order - and has been converted and topped with R134 instead of the original R12 .
Gear box has been overhauled and up rated to the 4 HP24 rather than the 4- HP 22 .
Has had a remap to improve sportiness .

Although some styling taken from the E9 it is far more streamlined and refined compared to its predecessor. and it has a B-pillar which the E9 does not have .
