It's time to sell my pride and joy; a 1986 Chevrolet G20 A Team van.
I bought this van just before Covid hit and spent three months restoring it, sourcing the parts and painting it in the colours we know and love. It had a 2. 5 turbo diesel Iveco engine in it at that point but after a few camping trips away I realised it wasn't going to work so I sourced a GM Detroit 6. 2 V8 diesel engine and TH400 transmission which I then replaced every ancillary on and fitted into the van. Well now it sounds incredible and coupled with its suspension and braking system overhaul, drives very well indeed!
Next year it’s tax and MOT exempt too. Here's a brief rundown of what I've done to it and what has been replaced if its available new, its had new!
