Description
1961 Vespa VBB1T Classic two stroke Italian Scooter.
This is a 1961 VBB1T 150 registered as a 125cc by former owner. It states 125 on the log book.
She’s an early series numbered VBB1T. Apparently they made these from 1960 to 1962. The series number ran from 1001 to 146000 and this is series number 350** so it’s one of the first 2500 built out of the 145, 000 made. The VBB1T is Italian made.
It starts really easily, usually 1st kick and it has a Pinasco Flytech electric ignition system (see pics).
It was restored in 2014 and has since been mostly unused, so has only covered 3 miles to and from mot station in 2014 and 2015. It’s been through 2 mots. It’s classed as an historic vehicle, so tax and mot exempt. It’s been started at intervals to keep everything moving. It’s had quite a lot of money spent on it when rebuilt and restored. All the lights are working, as is the brake light and the horn.
It has a 6 digit age related registration number and has had 3 former owners. There are some storage marks around it, I’ve taken a video and plenty of high resolution pictures to display these. Video can be sent by request, to see it starting and running, working lights and to show any marks etc (as well as the pics)
It’s a running and riding scooter (I’ve ridden it up and down my cul de sac with no presented problems) that will need recommissioning as it’s not been used on the road for some years but everything appears to be working as it should and it starts really well and ticks over beautifully as video shows. The engine sounds sweet. It’s nearly 65 years old, so it is sold as seen and for spares or repairs due to its age and inactivity.
Running on 8” wheels with Continental white wall tyres.
Very local drop off may be possible, please ask first. Electronic Picasso Flytech ignition. All electrics working, starts first kick.
