Description
On behalf of my client, I am pleased to offer you this truly unique vehicle. If you're looking for a car with as many extras as possible, this little car isn't for you. It has absolutely nothing – not even padded seats or a "real" fuel gauge. However, it offers attributes you simply can't buy anywhere else: uniqueness and unparalleled driving pleasure.
About the vehicle
The first German owner painstakingly converted the small car into a Jolly Beach Car by hand. Since then, it has only been driven 270 (two hundred and seventy!) kilometers! These beach cars experienced their heyday in the late fifties and early sixties, when high society cruised the promenades of St. Tropez, Cannes, Monaco, and Biarritz in them. Nothing was better suited as a "dinghy" to a massive yacht than such an exclusively converted small car. And the rich and famous were happy to pay a premium for this carefree lifestyle. Today, original Beach Cars command prices in the upper five-figure range and sometimes even in the six-figure range. Giving up almost everything comes at a price – paradoxical, I know. Our vehicle is a tribute to these rare small cars. Built by the French Piaggio subsidiary ACMA (Ateliers de Construction des Motocycles et Accessoires), this licensed product impresses with its loving and contemporary interpretation of the theme. The builder even went so far as to teach himself basket weaving to create the interior. Currently, the interior features carpet and floor mats. For sandy feet after a walk on the beach, for example, wooden lattice flooring in a nautical style would be a great addition. Feel free to ask me about further customization options to create even more beachy flair inside and outside the vehicle. I would be happy to work with my partner companies to implement your wishes.
The condition
Could hardly be better. The builder made no compromises during the rebuild – except for the usual beach car compromises. ;-) He had the body professionally stripped of paint and rust before starting the conversion and rebuild. You could eat off the undercarriage. Everything was refurbished or replaced. The mechanical components come from the Fiat 126 and are essentially the same as those of the iconic 500. This represents a significant improvement over the original 13 hp Piaggio engine, as spare parts are much easier to find and a "rageous" 23 hp provides more power. At a curb weight of 400 kg, this is perfectly adequate, and you probably won't want to test the 95 km/ h top speed anyway... To keep you on top of your speed, the minimalist cockpit features a GPS-controlled speedometer. Since the rear-mounted twin-cylinder engine is air-cooled, you won't find a temperature gauge. And what about the fuel gauge? Well, you'll find it in the form of a transparent tube located directly on the tank in the footwell, indicating the fuel level. It couldn't be simpler. Hop in, pull the choke lever, turn the key, and the fun can begin. Now imagine that under sunny skies and a Mediterranean sea breeze. Unfortunately, my client lives in the less southerly Bremen, and he's realized that this little rascal would be better off elsewhere. As this is a sale on behalf of a client, warranty is excluded.
