First registered March 1972 (K Suffix) this superb home market Right Hand Drive Series III Fixed Head Coupe was supplied by Arun Jaguar to its most recent keeper in 2017; the advancing years of the owner has prompted its sale, and I am delighted to be offering this really excellent example once more. Finished in its original colour scheme of Regency Red with Beige leather and sporting a lovely set of well shod Chrome Wire Wheels. The Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirms that the car was originally supplied by Hoffmans of Halifax. Now with 73, 000 miles on the odometer which we believe to be correct (from old MoT certificates) but cannot warrant due to the age of the car.
The Series III E-Type was introduced in 1971, with a new 5. 3 Litre Jaguar V12 engine uprated brakes and standard power steering, and as introduced produced a claimed 272 bhp, and a 0–60 mph acceleration of less than seven seconds. The new longer wheelbase offered significantly more room in all directions and is easily identifiable by the large cross-slatted front grille, flared wheel arches, wider tyres, four exhaust tips and a badge on the rear that proclaims it to be a V12. 2, 115 Right Hand Drive Fixed Head Coupes were produced from a total run of 7, 290 closed roof cars. In excellent order throughout we attended to brakes, fuel lines and other miscellaneous works when we supplied the car and subsequently it has been very reliable.
