1998 Lotus Elise S1 Bell & Colvill Super 140 – Azure Blue – 66, 700 miles
Azure Blue, covering only 66, 700 miles, has 6 owners from new. Bell & Colvill's Super 140 conversion — which included:
- Stainless steel sports exhaust system
- Induction kits (replaced by Hurricane)
- ECU Interceptor increasing power to ~130bhp
- Carbon fibre style door and dash panels
- Aluminium window handle and indicator stalks
- Momo removable steering wheel
Condition and Maintenance
This car has been properly maintained, with lots of service history and receipts, including every MOT since its first in 2001. All paperwork comes in its original Bell & Colvill folder, and a new Lotus owners handbook.
Mechanically, it has been subtly upgraded to drilled and groove brake discs, Mintex M1144 brake pads, S2 Bilstein suspension, Spitfire rear toe links, Eliseparts gear linkage kit and clutch slave cylinder support bracket. The STACK clock was refurbished by 212 Performance to replace the motors and glass.
Cosmetically, the best colour in Azure Blue paint is all original and present well, retaining a deep shine that highlights the S1's iconic lines, with some age related marks. It has been dry stored in a garage in my ownership, only showing minor signs of osmosis on the top of the driver and passenger doors. The interior remains tidy and original, showing light honest wear on driver bolster and sill cover panel consistent with age and mileage.
Overall a fantastic car which is guaranteed to put a smile on the new owners face. Reluctant sale to fund a new purchase.
Comes on Rimstock wheels as pictured, but have a set of original AW1 wheels which could come with the car subject to price.
